Gentrifighters (CdMx)

We can all be part of the solution

About Gentrifighters (CdMx)

Through different projects, we seek to build a space for analysis, reflection on the causes and effects and the collective search for solutions and strategies against BlanqueamientoPorDispossession, a polysemic term built by the Juaricuas; group of bold citizen neighbors, which the academy names Gentrification. We will demonstrate how the real estate cartel and the omissive policies of a government that voluntarily fails the population affected by forced displacement to favor real estate capital, giving us the sword and sacrificing its people.

This project is organized by [ 06600 ] – Neighborhood Platform and Observatory of Colonia Juárez and multiple collaborators.

Walk Through of Gentrification - Juarez

This walk seeks to narrate with examples and specific stories the effects of gentrification in a specific territory, the Juárez neighborhood in the centrality of Mexico City, and how it affects the inhabitants and local commerce. Through an uncomfortable journey, we seek to demonstrate the effects and their causes, and how real estate capital and the omissive policies of a government that turns its back on its citizens in order to favor capital impact an area.

This project is organized by [ 06600 ] – Neighborhood Platform and Observatory of Colonia Juárez and multiple collaborators.
